Board Pong
Pong, played with chess pieces as paddles
Slide a piece up and down the outer file to move your paddle. It is the fastest way to show somebody what the board can do.
How it plays
- 1
Place one piece on the A file and one on the H file.
- 2
Slide your piece along the file to move your paddle.
- 3
Miss the ball and your opponent scores. First to 7 wins.
- 4
Button B starts or restarts; button A returns to the idle screen.
What the lights do
The ball is a single bright white pixel; paddles are two-square bars, green on the A file and red on the H file. The missed wall flashes when a point is scored.
What you'll hear
The ball ticks off the walls and answers a shade higher off a paddle, so you can hear a save without watching for it. Points and the winning rally each get their own sound.

The Code tab has the whole game — 214 lines of rules, colours, and animations. Everything about the hardware lives in OpenChessCore, so that is all you need to read.
To upload your own version from Arduino IDE, add OpenChessCore.zip as a library, install Adafruit NeoPixel, NimBLE-Arduino, and pick ESP32S3 Dev Module with USB CDC On Boot: Enabled.
