Hot Square
Land on the lit square for a bonus
Each turn the board picks a square and lights it up. Move a piece onto it and you bank bonus time or points. Ignore it and your opponent will not.
How it plays
- 1
A random square glows at the start of every turn.
- 2
Moving any piece onto the hot square awards the bonus.
- 3
Bonuses can be configured as extra clock time or as score.
- 4
The square moves whether or not anybody claimed it.
What the lights do
The hot square pulses gold and fades as the turn runs down.

Source for this game hasn’t been published yet. Any game built on OpenChessCore is a good starting point — the sensors, lights, battery, and USB link are already handled, so a new game is only its rules.

The rules and the install path are designed and wired up, but the sketch hasn’t been written yet. Everything on this page is real except the binaries themselves.
